Tully Mountain Suris is proudly owned and operated by Lu Collins and Julie LaFreniere. Lu earned her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts and currently works at an educational consulting firm. Julie has a master's degree in management and is employed as a collegiate head coach of women's cross-country and track & field.

Since the early nineties, they have bred and shown border terriers and operate a small kennel (Oban). They have been breeding suri alpacas since 2003 and are not new to the world of breeding and showing. They have bred numerous owner handled champion border terriers and will continue to breed for conformation, working ability and temperament. In the alpaca world, their sole focus is the rare and elegant suri. They each have 27 years of successful breeding experience (border terriers and suri alpacas) - understand the complex world of genetics, bloodlines, line breeding and outcrossing.
